Early Life and Spiritual Awakening

Annai lost her father at a young age, but found strength in the spiritual inclinations she inherited from her mother. Understanding that the spiritual path requires proper guidance, she sought a worthy Guru. When Reddyappa Swami visited her area, she recognized him as her destined spiritual master and received Nayana Deeksha (initiation through divine sight) from him. Her brother also studied Reddyappa Swami’s teachings, strengthening the family’s spiritual bond.

Divine Vision and Tapasya

A pivotal moment came when Swami appeared in Annai’s dream and led her to bathe at the nearby Ganesha temple. Heeding this divine guidance, she began performing penance at that sacred site. After six months of intense spiritual practice, Lord Ganesha himself granted her darshan (divine vision), marking the beginning of her extraordinary spiritual powers.

Following the blessings of Reddyappa Swami, Annai undertook severe tapasya. For three months, she observed Neer Vikalpam—meditation without water or food. Her body became reduced to skin and bones, yet the radiance of her spiritual aura shone brilliantly, illuminating all who came near her.

Miracles and Healing Grace

Through divine grace, Annai performed numerous miracles that brought relief to countless devotees. Her healing powers manifested in remarkable ways:

A woman from a Chennai Iyer family, suffering from a stomach tumor that defied treatment at multiple hospitals, came to Annai seeking help. Annai blessed her with sacred vibhuti (holy ash) to apply on the affected area, and the tumor was completely cured. The grateful family sought further guidance for prosperity, and following Annai’s advice to establish an electrical business, they achieved tremendous success, building an enterprise worth hundreds of crores. Their family continues to serve and support her temple to this day.

A devotee from Tiruvannamalai suffering from chronic rheumatism found no relief despite trying various treatments. After staying at Annai’s ashram for four days and receiving vibhuti prasadam, the disease was completely cured.

A devotee from Nallathur who was afflicted with severe mental illness was brought to Annai’s home and attended meditation classes under her guidance. On the fifth day, when she applied vibhuti all over his body, his mental affliction disappeared entirely.

When a child accidentally swallowed a nail and medical treatments proved ineffective, the parents brought the child to Annai. She blessed the child with vibhuti and tirtham (sacred water), and miraculously, the nail passed naturally the next morning.

A family rushed to Annai with their child who had suffered a snake bite, having found no relief at the hospital. Annai placed her hands on the affected area, and the child was completely healed through her divine touch.

Attainment of Jeeva Samadhi

As her spiritual journey approached completion, Annai announced to her devotees that the day of her perfection had arrived. On Wednesday, August 13, 1980—the 21st day of the Tamil month Adi in the year Rautram—she attained Jeeva Samadhi at Pillayarkuppam, near Kurumambakkam in Puducherry. She merged with the eternal light of divine consciousness, fulfilling her spiritual destiny.

Living Legacy

Today, her Jeeva Samadhi at Pillayarkuppam remains a sacred site where devotees continue to experience the divine presence and miraculous grace that characterized her earthly life. The place where she lived and performed her spiritual practices stands as a testament to the countless miracles that occurred through her divine blessing.
