Unlike many saints, it is believed that Sri Agastya Maharishi has no permanent samadhi. Siddha traditions say that he attained Ashtama Siddhi, the eight supreme yogic powers, and continues to live in a subtle yogic state, appearing wherever needed to bless devotees.
